Thermal Insulation: The uniform, closed cellular structure of EPS is highly resistant
to heat flow and is not affected by changes between –17 C and 43 C. The excellent
insulating properties of EPS, derived from its microcellular closed cell construction,
provide one of its most important and widely used properties because it is comprised
of 98 per cent air (EUMEPS, August 2002).
Thermal Conductivity, k Value (W/mK): The k value specifies the rate of heat
transfer in any homogeneous material expressed as 1 W/mK. (Watts per metre
kelvin). The lower this value is, the less heat the material will transfer. The following
chart shows the k value of a number of common materials, and demonstrates that EPS
has a low thermal conductivity compared with other materials.
Dimensional Stability: It represents the ability of a material to retain its original
shape or size in varying environmental conditions. EPS offers exceptional
dimensional stability, remaining virtually unaffected by not more than 2%.within a
wide range of ambient factors.
Exposure to Water and Water Vapour: The mechanical properties of EPS are
unaffected by moisture. Exposure to water or water vapour does not cause swelling.
This material is also Termite, Pest and Rot resistant what is important here in Belize.
Frame:
Light steel frame building is a new type of building structure system, which is formed by the main steel framework linking up H section, Z section and U section steel components, roofs and walls using a variety of panels and other components such as windows, doors, cranes, etc.
Advantage of the steel frame building:
1. Maintains its strength indefinitely- does not deteriorate with age like timber and concrete, provided its surface is protected from rust.
2. Very strong and flexible - steel framed houses are ideal in cyclone/hurricane prone regions. The best material for bridges and skyscrapers.

The glass walls is toughened - tempered glass.
Tempered or toughened glass is a type of safety glass processed by controlled thermal or chemical treatments to increase its strength compared with normal glass. Tempering puts the outer surfaces into compression and the interior into tension. Such stresses cause the glass, when broken, to crumble into small granular chunks instead of splintering into jagged shards as plate glass (a.k.a. annealed glass) does. The granular chunks are less likely to cause injury.
As a result of its safety and strength, tempered glass is used in a variety of demanding applications, including passenger vehicle windows, shower doors, architectural glass doors and tables, refrigerator trays, mobile screen protectors, as a component of bulletproof glass, for diving masks, and various types of plates and cookware.
